Outside our fee, expect: $0–$29/mo hosting (Vercel/Netlify free tier covers most small-business sites; Shopify is $29/mo for stores), $15–$50/year for your domain, and $0–$45/mo for email tools if you want them (Klaviyo and Mailchimp both have free tiers under 500 contacts). For a Starter client, total Year 1 cost outside our fee is usually $25–$60. No surprise plugins. No proprietary platforms. No "you have to use our hosting."
Honest answer: it depends entirely on your traffic and your offer — we don't control either. A faster, mobile-first site with prominent click-to-call removes the most common reasons mobile visitors bounce. Industry research consistently shows that fixing mobile usability, load time, and conversion friction produces measurable improvement, but the specific lift varies by industry, your existing volume, and how you market. We won't quote you a percentage we can't guarantee. What we will commit to: a website that doesn't leak customers, loads in under two seconds, and gives every visitor a clear next step.
Roughly 2–3 hours total across the project. Day 1 is a 20-minute intake call. Day 2–3, you review a content outline and reply with any changes (30 min). Day 4–5, you review the staging site and give feedback (45 min). Day 5, a 15-minute handoff Loom walks you through how to edit things later. That's it. Our job is to handle the build. Yours is to know your business.
Your current site stays live the entire time. We build the new site on a private staging URL (e.g. midas-yourname.vercel.app) where only you can see it. On launch day, we cut over the domain in a 5-minute switch — your customers see the new site, search rankings transfer cleanly, and there's no downtime. If something looks off after launch, we can roll back to the old site inside a minute.
You're never locked in. We deliver a handoff Loom showing exactly how to update headlines, swap photos, change prices, add products, and publish blog posts. For Shopify builds, you edit in the standard Shopify admin (no custom CMS to learn). For static sites, we set up either Decap CMS (free, friendly) or just point you to the right line in the code. Most clients are confidently making their own edits within a week of launch.
You do. Full stop. The domain is registered in your name. The hosting account is in your name with your credit card. The source code is in your GitHub repo. The design files (Figma) are in your workspace. Brand assets (logos, photos) come with full commercial license. If you fired us tomorrow, every single piece keeps working — we don't hold anything hostage.
Every package includes revision rounds — 2 on The Starter, 3 on The Studio, unlimited during The Authority build. We don't process the final 50% payment until you've signed off in writing. If we genuinely cannot get you to a result you're proud of after the revision rounds, we keep only the deposit for the time spent, you keep the work product, and you can take it to another developer. We've never had this happen, but the policy exists so you know the exit is clean.
If we miss our delivery date for reasons inside our control, we waive the final 50% balance. The deadline is the price. This isn't marketing language — it's written into the engagement summary you receive with your invoice. The only thing that pauses the clock is if we're waiting on something from you (a logo file, a product description, a payment confirmation). That's also documented in the engagement summary.
Three differences. Speed: a marketplace freelancer typically takes 30–90 days for a comparable scope; we deliver in 5.
